The nearest railway station to Val d’Isere is Bourg St Maurice. This is the terminus of the line that serves the Tarentaise and its ski resorts. Transdev Martin operate frequent and very reliable bus services from Bourg St Maurice railway station to Val d’Isere. The journey takes about three quarters of an hour. Tickets may be purchased from their ticket office at Bourg St Maurice station (but NOT on the bus). Return tickets should be purchased form the Val d’Isere bus station at least 48 hours before departure.

The Ski Train
Eurostar operate direct high speed train services between London St. Pancras International, Ashford international and Bourg St Maurice:
The Day Train runs in both directions on Saturdays and The Night Train, runs outward on Friday nights and returns on Saturday nights. These services provide normal seating accommodation only. There is an at-seat meal service (included in the ticket price) in First class and buffet/bar cars available for Standard class.

The Snow Train
The Snow Train is operated by Rail Europe, a UK subsidiary of SNCF (French Railways). It runs overnight, outward on Friday nights and back on Saturday nights:
The Snow Train includes a Standard class connection by Eurostar between London St Pancras International or Ebbsfleet International and Paris Gare du Nord where passengers transfer to/from the overnight Snow Train. This provides couchettes cars (six flat beds per compartment) and a sound-proofed disco car between Paris and Bourg St Maurice. As you arrive early on Saturday morning and leave on Saturday evening you gain two extra days skiing.
